To be honest we we’re hard pressed to find any negative reviews for this product. Out of nearly 150 Amazon buyer reviews only 17 were below 4-stars, so you really have to take any criticism of this product with a grain of salt.

With that said one reviewer gave the product 3-stars because he noticed a line on his leather seats made by the chair and also noted that the belt seemed to be a little high on his child when the chair is positioned at the low end.
Another reviewer remarked that the seat became uncomfortable for her son during long periods of sitting and that the base we pretty hard plastic with not a lot of padding.

We’d like to point out that backless car seats are made to be lighter, less cumbersome and more convenient and portable than high back booster seats, so it’s comes as no surprise that this seat would have slightly less padding and a more simple low profile base.
